b+m wins 3rd place in the "Hessen Champions 2005" contest
The minister-president of Hessen, Mr. Roland Koch, and the President of the Federation of Hessen Trade Associations, Professor Dieter Weidemann, honour the winners in the presence of more than 1,000 business people at the Wiesbaden Spa Hotel.
On the occasion of the 14th Hessen Entrepreneurs Day, the minister-president, Mr. Roland Koch, and the President of the Federation of Hessen Trade Associations, Professor Dieter Weidemann, presented the prizes to the "Hessen-Champions 2005". In the presence of 1,000 invited guests, Mr. Weidemann awarded 3rd place in the World Market Leaders category to b+m surface systems GmbH from Eiterfeld. In 1999, the company won 2nd price as the "Hidden-Champion", the forerunner to today’s "Hessen-Champions" competition. “Since then the company has made enormous progress”, said Mr. Weidemann. Over the last five years, visible increases in turnover (from an output of 15 million euros in the year 1999 to more than 30 million euros in 2004) and in employees (from 40 in 1999 to more than 120 in 2004) reflect the quality of the company’s management. At that time, as now, the jury were impressed by the company’s international dimension as well as its innovative products and services. As a surface technology systems supplier, b+m is a worldwide market leader in the processing of water-soluble paints, in particular for the internal components of motor vehicles. Its technologies – including for example automated painting technology – are also in great demand, around the world, from manufacturers of domestic appliance, bicycles and furniture.
